🕵 About the project
webclipboard is an online free web app to share the clipboard text of all your devices in an easy, fast and really simple way. Most of us use telegram, whatsapp or emails to share text between devices. I think this will provide a faster way to do this.
🧩 How does it works?
First, when you join the page, you will see the link that you must enter from the other device with which you want to share the clipboard. Once done, a green alert saying "Devices synced" will be shown. Done! You can paste down in the field the text that you want to share.
🤔 But.. why? This already exists!
Well.. yes. This is not a brand new revolutionary feature, but it is a clean one. Everytime in the past when I needed to use an already existing app of this kind, it turned out being so difficult. This was due to a really poor functioning or a poor design just exploited with tons of ads, making the usage and the experience really awful. So.. I decided to make a new, prettier (or at least tried to 😋) and faster one. With a clean UI/UX.
🔒 Is it secure?
webclipboard.io uses E2E encryption. All the data sent and received is purely encrypted through AES and is not stored in our servers.
🚀 Are any other features in mind?
The answer is yes. And they are really cool.

Interesting concept, but I have a few questions.
First, do you need to sync with a new code every time you want to share text between devices? If so, I think I'd probably still prefer just emailing or texting between devices.
Second, near bottom of page it indicates that sharing files is planned. It also indicates data will be encrypted. I'm assuming given the context that you're referring to encryption for the planned file sharing feature. But what about the existing text sharing? How is that secured, if at all?

Well, those are good questions. First of all, security. All the data is encrypted E2E through AES. As I just replied in another comment, I've added a few labels mentioning it in the site.
And last but not least, actually there is a trick with your first question. You can always enter the same "room" by just visiting the site/ that you want, but keep in mind that the code will not be private. Anyone jumping in with the same code that you entered will be synced with you and maybe see what you are sending.
The code that the website generates when you join, is a free fresh unused code.
Anyways, this can be annoying and maybe, as you said, blurs the entire purpose of saving time. So I'm currently thinking about a method of making private rooms, with custom passwords and custom codes.
Also, this triggers another doubt: How to implement it? I don't want you to take a code with your password and never use the site again. But also I don't want to charge you for it.
