I have been genuinely enjoying (for the most part) my several months-long journey, now, exploring the experience of perhaps the eldest elder iOS word processing application, Ulysses, and its just have to use it to discover delights.

Poking around for just a moment, I discovered what is apparently a quite excellent example of perhaps my least favorite sort of digital type: Monotype's ITC American Pro family.

ITC American Pro in the Remington Theme

It took me disturbingly little time to find a correspondingly foul typewriter-inspired entry in my list of Ulysses themes, called Remington.

Reminds on the good old Remington Typewriter with black and red ribbon. The background color is a light grey for an eye-friendly work. Recommended font: Courier or Courier new.

ITC American Pro in the Watterson Theme

Less abrasive to my eye, here's the same typeface wearing the Watterson Theme in portrait mode.

If your ball's not already gagging away, here's one more tidbit:

Both of these images were captured with Ulysses in fucking typewriter mode, even, configured to select by sentence.

...which, ya know... could probably turn my whole writing life around.
