Hello comrades! πŸ‘‹

I decided to show off. And I'll show you my VS Code setup.

img

First of all the theme

I have been using the morgan.codes theme for a long time. But recently I changed it. I've always liked green and found my favorite in this style - Borealis Theme:

my theme

Also I prefer to use LaserWave and Cobalt2 and City Lights themes.

Icons are also important

Favorite the Material Icons of course:
my icons
And City Lights icons.

Font

Top 3: Agave Nerd Font, Fira Code, Operator Mono:
my fonts

Extensions maybe

Nothing special.

extensions

Except: Project manager, Disable Ligatures, Import Cost, Markdown Preview Enhanced, Multiple clipboards.

So, what does your VS Code setup look like? 🧐

So, what does your VS Code setup look like?

Probably like everyone else's! πŸ˜‚ But seriously, mines nothing special.

Current theme: Material Theme (the High Contrast one)

My must-have extensions:

  • Prettier
  • Bracket Pair Colorizer
  • Markdown all in one (I'm a Markdown Wizard...sort of πŸ§™πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ)

That's basically it. I add extensions as I need them, since I believe in less is more. 😊 (I don't hoard extensions, makes VS Code heavy and extra bloated)

I have about 66 extensions (not going to list all of them) that I downloaded over the years and my VSCode app is looking real' sweet.

I used the Canvas Theme for VSCode and it's the best one I found so far.
Some of the extensions I have that are super important are:

  • Live Server
  • Markdown Preview
  • Material Icons
  • NPM, GIT, and PIP
  • Lots more!

Why so many though? What do they help you with?

I use Monaco. Another cool one is Orbitron (downloaded from google fonts) but a little too much.

I just reinstalled VS Code, so I will be configuring it from scratch again. But the first extensions I installed were:

  • Auto Rename Tag
  • Bracket Pair Colorizer
  • Material Icons
  • Markdown All-in-one

Another good one I found last week was Code Spell Checker. You know, to help fix the typos.πŸ˜…

Think I'll try the LaserWave theme next.
