I stepped away to get a drink, how did we get on cosplay? I'm so here for this. As a staff photographer for several anime conventions I have literally thousands upon thousands of cosplayer photos sitting on a HD I can try this on.
hahaha- once I discovered that the Microsoft Face API needed human images (vs cartoon) I decided to use cosplay images for my data!

How confidently can the API detect the features in a photo of darker skinned POC?
In my experience, the Face API has been incredibly accurate and has been trained on a diverse set of faces/images! Many of the cosplay images I used for this particular project were images of POC, and I had no trouble. If you try it yourself and run into any issues, please let me know and I'll provide that feedback directly to the eng team! ð
