What's it?
Roadmaps are the layouts which often emphasizes on the gameplans for achieving a particular goal. With 2024 dubbed as the "Year of Decentralized Communication", the Push team is working on MAJOR developments that will change web3 communication for good.
While there are a lot of new things planned, let's have a look at some of the highlighted ones! (featuring Q1 2024)
Here is the complete roadmap, just take a look:
Unified Push SDK V2
For the first version, Push launched a unified SDK for web3 developers to send notifications or chats to their users with unification of the SDK, enabling the Push API class, which is common for all suite of products by enabling developers to use Push products with ease. It also paved the way for Push to heavily abstract away the complexities of web3 communication and provide a seamless experience to developers.
A new feature, scheduled to be ready within the first quarter of the year, started the journey of making the SDK more developer friendly with unified Software Development Kit to enable both chat and notifications in just 4 lines of code or less, thus saving time and hassles.
Plans to take this further with V2 of the SDK to encompass all forms of communication (Notifications, Chat, Video, Spaces) in a single SDK is currently being worked on. Both Push V2.5 and V3 are set to go live this year. These next-gen versions will encompass enhancements to both Push Protocol’s communication tools as well as its circular economy initiatives.
Support for Ethers V6
This feature, aimed for completion within the first quarter of 2024, has been completed. The Push team has been upgrading the SDK to support Ethers V6 along with Ethers V5 and viem, thus allowing developers to use the SDK with latest version of Ethers, thus broadening the scope of getting to work with it.
