Well, the number of days since 1/1/1 is called the ordinal. See Python's
toordinalandfromordinalfromdatetime. So this is exactly how dates are stored internally in a lot of systems. Although Jesus was born somewhere around 6 to 4 BC, apparently. Which is ironic given BC means Before Christ.Don't try this at home π
