In line with industry trends where companies like Microsoft have already integrated similar tools into their operating systems and applications, Amazon Q represents another step towards effective synergies between data and humans.

Moreover, its integration with VSCode opens up new perspectives, especially when managing AWS-related tasks directly from the IDE. This integration is characterized by the fact that the length of the prompt is different between the console (1000 characters) and the IDE (4000 characters), which allows for greater flexibility. Currently, Amazon Q cannot access the text that is currently being worked on. I hope that this limitation will be overcome in the future to achieve greater synergy with Codewhisperer. The latter could significantly improve the generated code, especially if the possibility of a dialog with Amazon Q to refine the code generated by Codewhisperer is implemented, facilitating problem solving and code optimization.

Although there are still pending expectations, such as the introduction of a vector database in Redshift, I remain optimistic about future innovations.
