This has really left me lost for words. I'm sorry that you have to put up with this horrendous behaviour. No one deserves this.

You continuously put out amazing learning materials that help thousands of people all around the world become better developers, and create better lives for themselves and this is what you get? Absolutely vile.

Your strength to keep going, and sharing your experiences admist all of this harrasment is admirable. Thank you.

The thing that saddens me the most is that these men (and many others) have definitely pushed lots of other women out of the industry. And they will continue to do it unless something changes.

For each Ali that faces all these attacks with strength and determination, there must be thousands of other women that don't make it because of all these sexist attacks.

Thank you so much for all the work you do, Ali. You got this! πŸ’ͺ

This is a great way to showcase the reality a lot of women are still dealing with daily - and it's often not just online.

By keeping with it and continuing to improve yourself and sharing your talent with others, you are proving them all wrong!

Wow, this literally captured the meaning of "nevertheless" so well. I'm grateful for people like yourself who's managed to power through all of this BS and continue to bless our community with great content. Respect.

I wish I could say something hopeful or encouraging, but that's some serious bulls*** right there.

I really hope this industry improves and people remember that it was founded by brilliant women. The fight continues I suppose.

Found myself spewing out "wtfs" faster than a machine gun spews out bullets.

WTAF is wrong with some people?

We need men to support, empower and amplify their voices.
Not bring them down.

I use twitter for my work and for business opportunities, that's frankly not an option for me. I have also gotten harassment on here, youtube, instagram, reddit, you name it. Are you saying, then, that women really just shouldn't be online or build up large audiences because of the harassment? The problem is the harassers.

We don't live long. So don't waste time reading these. I left social media cause 90% of the comments and contents make no sense to me and emits negative energy, rather started reading tech blogs and now I get enough free time for myself. I just don't want to waste my life, consuming craps of social media. Be happy.

That's not the point though, the point is that women deal with this type of harassment all over social media. "Be happy" is reductionist...
