Today we started to plan the Sprint 1 using our backlog stories and we got few suggestions from our supervisor since the workload of the first sprint is large. We could discuss them with him along with our ideas and what will be the issues that we will encounter with those changes.
1. Use Google sheet for Nation user end on behalf of Firebase in only for first Sprint:
The issue is that we have to implement both read and write functionalities for the Google sheet and it will take a considerable amount of additional time. But after that, we have to change it to the Firebase solution. Then the time we spent on Google sheet reading and writing will be a waste of time. Then we discussed it and decided not to implement it.
2. Remove the functionality of accept or reject the application received to Nation end through the system only for this sprint:
If we remove it, Nation users have to navigate to the applicant's Facebook profile and send separate messages to him/her about the decision. Then it will be a longer process to the Nation end user than the existing process. Then we decided to implement it within the first sprint with basic UI elements.
We learned about the following pros within today's meeting.
- Discussing with the team members about the stories further, we can find solutions before the problems encounter.
- Selecting stories for MVP release is a challenging task than we expected and then we have to analyse our stories in more detail to overcome this challenge.
Finally we came up with the decision about the stories that we will implement in the first sprint.
