Working from home is so much fun because of the comfort that comes with it.
I mean, you can work in the comfort of your PJs or even from your bed. Plus you don't have to go through the stress of commuting. I know right...So so many perks!
But, it can be very draining, tiring and distracting :( How then can one stay productive when working from home?
I'll share 13 ways I've remained productive working from home...particularly in this Covid-19 season.
1. Let everyone at home know you will be working for some specific hours.
I know you may be like duh...they know. However, saying this again to them re-affirms that you'll be working and puts you in a 'worky' state of mind.
2.Close your room door to avoid distractions. You'll catch up on the small talks with family later.
3. Avoid working from the bed…stay at a workspace Invest in comfortable workspace furniture if you don’t have one. To start off, a table and chair will suffice.
4. De-clutter your worktable I know you're a creative person and tend to leave things laying around. However, having an organised table helps you think clearly and puts you in the right frame of mind to accomplish a lot.
5. Create a checklist of what you want to achieve that day. This serves as a guide and helps you stay focused throughout the day.
6. Break your day into chunks, assigning a timeframe to each task. This helps you work towards getting items on your checklist done.
7. Avoid taking phone calls unless it is related to your work at that instance.
8. Arrive on time to virtual meetings. Arriving on time to virtual meetings and make meaningful contributions gives you an inner fulfilment. At least, it does for me and motivates me to do more. 😊
9. Reduce time spent on social media.
10. Take short breaks from time to time.
11. Drink enough water to stay hydrated.
12. Listen to some cool & inspiring music.
13. Keep a positive attitude all the way.
These tips have all worked for me and increased my productivity 💯 Do you know any other way one can stay productive while working from home?
