As the Google Developer Student Lead at Western University, I had the opportunity to participate in NA Connectt, a 2-day summit bringing together all developer community leaders from US and Canada including Google Developer Groups, WTM Ambassadors, Google Developer Experts, and Google Developer Student Clubs to connect, learn, exchange community best practices, share resources and provide updates from Google.
It was an insightful experience because I was able to learn and meet with the GDSC leads across North America and learn how to develop effective leadership and technical skills through the other community leads. It was inspiring (and a breath of fresh air) to hear their journeys, especially those from unconventional backgrounds because it enabled me to see how we are limitless. There were various technical talks on different google developer tools as well like Flutter and Tensorflow and it was an honor to be a part of this amazing community thus far. Looking forward to contributing and organizing for the upcoming semester and I hope everyone is doing amazing!
