My first programming language was Common Lisp, and I also hacked Erlang for a while (both of them professionally). I haven't done much in the way of statically-typed ML-family FP, though, but it seems fine if you're into that sort of thing.
ReasonML seems fine. I have no real opinion on it besides it being yet another web dev language/tool.
