StarTips: https://Startips.io
I recently wrote a post about releasing Startips here: https://dev.to/yuriguernsey/it-feels-so-good-to-finally-release-a-product-4chh
However, I have been getting a lot of feedback that the idea is great but plain. So I was wondering if I should pivot into a news site that post success and failure stories with the founders tips, But in my honest opinion I don't know.
What does everyone think? Should I pivot? If so what should I pivot to, doesn't have to be the news site. I am open to suggestions

Should you pivot? That's a tough question that only you can answer. You have to follow your gut feelings. If there's a recurring pattern with the feedback you're getting, then that could mean something. It may not mean to pivot, but it's just something to take into consideration.
It looks like your other post was made just yesterday. I would give it some time and really let it simmer.
Good luck!
Thank you for that insight. I think I am just so driven to making it a success that I don't really let it settle
Tough question. "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries is a great resource for people in your position.
I don't think a full pivot is necessary. I see the criticisms you got in your other post more as suggestions for possible extensions or cosmetic improvements.
The addition of external links that give more context is a good start, and a more engaging reading / browsing experience instead of source-less short quotes. I would even set up the submission process so a source link is a requirement.
If a source is not there, then a Dev.to or Reddit discussion could be automatically started for the submitted quote?
Overall I think context matters a lot.
Ok thatβs actually a great idea thank you
