The first family you played in The Sims had the last name Newbie. It took me awhile to realize that meant they were a practice family. I took their life so seriously. The one bedroom apartment Bob and Linda (?) shared was the first time I had ever played a PC game for hours on end. That lead me to wondering how computers worked and I even made mods for some websites full of Sims' furniture.
I never thought back then that I would learn computer graphics so now that I am making the command queues myself, I am proud to be a newbie.
