So, this is my first pot and i hope it won't get so controversial.
A year a go, i took this commitment and started to learn how to code and as everyone else, i chose the front end path. Say to say, I'm still not employed yet and still on the limb to learn. It's a long journey, especially when I'm not a CS grad and have a degree which is not related to CS AT ALL.
On my day to day journey, i used to watch youtube videos, not only tutorials, but also career advice on how to learn and what to do. One of the most repeated subjects on youtube was the tutorial hell videos.
Everyone will tell you to stop doing tutorial hell and start doing a few things on your own. But is this the right thing to do? Well, it is and it's not. Just wanna let you know that i confess that youtube nowadays is one best resources to learn anything and the tutors and creators are doing nothing but the best job to produce the best content in different fields.
Let's get back a few years ago when we used to attend school or even college, the teacher, doctor, or professor (I'll refer as GURU just for easiness) would start a subject, explain, and even show you some practice. After all of this, the GURU would give you a task and solve it on your own, also home tasks to do in order to discuss them the next day. Isn't this a tutorial? Well, kinda.
Yet, doing this all over again, won't let you become at the same level as the GURU, that's where you should start learning on your own.
So as a beginner, isn't it okay to fall in tutorial hell seems to be a good thing to get grasp and understanding.
Yet, you should also use the tutorial hell wisely, do not just copy paste the same thing the tutor writes without understanding on why they chose such approach or what different approaches or technologies we can use to solve such problem, This is where you start making a good use of the tutorials and gain experience until you get to the point where you will not need tutorials anymore.
I hope this wasn't too long to read and me also as a beginner seeking to learn from more experienced fellows so all opinions are welcome.
PS: i don' know if I'm correct about this but i watched lots of videos of self-taught programmers who already made it on their own have already been in the tutorial hell. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
