Hello, dear readers! I'm Yumei Wang, a student in Seneca college. In this term I'm taking the course Open Source Development because I believe I can gain more project experience by doing the real project.
My primary aim of learning OSD is to broaden my skill set by delving into backend development using Java. I've been working on things like React and React Native in my coop work. But now, I really want to understand how the stuff behind the scenes works, especially the backend part with Java. I want to be a full stack software engineer. I hope I can work on cool projects that show off what I've learned, and maybe even help others with my newfound knowledge. So, yeah, I'm excited to dive into this coding adventure and see where it takes me!
To Start, I find an interesting project mermaid by searching the trend, which can draw awesome diagrams and charts by inputting basic docs. Also, there are lots of examples and guides on GitHub, so It's easy to learn and use.
