Ubuntu 18.04 tty screen

So somehow I was able to blow away my desktop in Ubuntu 18.04. All I got while restarting my machine was this tty1 screen.

So after a couple of googling, I assured myself that I had blown away my desktop.

So here is what I had to do to bring it back.

sudo su

apt-get update 

apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

reboot

This will take a lot of time to install. Once done you will be able to see that sweet gnome screen of your desktop again.
