Thanks for sharing! How's that different from the Mobile view in Chrome dev tools?
You can have several views next to each other, saving you from needing to change to another view every so often, and a view like that makes it overall easier to compare different viewports to one another.
Developer focussed browsers like Sizzy have the same feature included.
But is it really so hard to switch views in devtools?
Why can't we be happy for the 16 yr old student for his achievement and just congratulate him for his work?
Of course it's not hard to do that, I never said that it was.
In the end it's a personal choice, and both is valid, whatever suits ones workflow.
Some (like myself as well) like to view some viewports in parallel to compare them, maybe also with synchronised scrolling and actions (you do something in one device, and it does the same on every other screen, kinda like GhostLab allows you to do as well), some work best solely with responsive mode.
Yes we are indeed happy for this achievement, really 🙂 It's also okay to challenge an idea a bit so the author knows how to improve the app. Ofc, if that sounds not friendly, that's our fault.
You can test on different, popular devices simultaneously and Responsivize features device frames (bezels, notches, etc.) along with browser menubars that other dev tools simply don't offer, to make the testing experience feel more real!
Great work. Congrats!
Thanks!
Hey, I created
Note Box
- A chrome extension to add notes based on URL. Read more about it hereAnother project is
File Ops
- A VS Code extension to easily tag/alias files & quick switch between files. Read more about it hereGreat idea Virej! Installed it and am gonna suggest it to my colleagues.
And of course new features could be added and it could be improved👍
Thanks a lot and of course, this is only v1.0.0. Let me know what features you want to see and i'll make sure they make it to the next release!
Ability to test simultaneosly, which was pointed out by others is a great thing. This could become a major ability if you could inspect the result on different-sized devices in one screen and can speed up the development process.
This is Awesome! Thanks for making this!
I'm glad you liked it :)
I'm glad you made it! Keep making things
Thanks a lot!
This is awesome! I have wanted something like this for a while. One page, bam, all the viewports right there. Can code side by side.
Thanks so much and we'll done! 🤘
Glad you liked it, also, if you haven't already, a star to the repo would be amazing!
Nice! This is very usefull!
Thanks, glad you liked it. Also, a star to the GitHub repo would be amazing!
This is great Virej! Must have been lots of fun to develop. Congrats!
Thanks a lot, and yes, it was really fun to build this!
One question: How can i open tablet and phone view next to each other?
As of this version (v1.0.0), there is no way of doing this yet but I'll make sure to add this feature for the next update! By the way, the project is open source so, you can also add that feature and open a pull request on GitHub!
This looks nice :-)
There is a paid browser that does this, and (i forgot the name) and i always wished someone did the free version.
Thank you!
Glad you liked it :)
That's very nice, congrats!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for this tool
Glad you liked it!
Thank you!
Amazing! The mindset behind is very powerful. Keep experimenting and help developers!
I will, thanks!
Yes devs know how all f12 features work. Plus, this is not a web app. If true, it won't work for people.
Why? Just f12!
