Hi DEVs,
I'm writing because it's been several years since I have been dealing with API documentation, but I have no idea what to do about it.
I'm at the point now I have to figure something out, and I've read that there are some simple programs that do the FLAT XML exports.
However, the first step is creating the app, which I have Visual Studio/Code for. I've tried a few times, but I think I have to also get the API mapping done in Postman.
I was going to install each of the nodes and base apps in one project, but I think separate modules/projects would be better.
After all of this, I might not even get what I want (images) for a webstore. So, it may be for nothing.
I have learned how to somewhat run through a marked-down installation, but it's still very hazy to me. Even previewing the browser version of the code I'm working on seems to be challenging to find. I've mostly seen that you should try to connect in the browser. Should I be using the Visual Studio Blend, or is there a way to view a preview in VS Studio/Code? I have signed-up for the GitHub co-pilot probably three times. Yet, it doesn't activate for some reason.
Any advice on the best way to do this? After the API is setup, I assume I still have to create some code to call to it.
I know that this can probably be done in Word, Excel, PowerPages, Project, Access, SQL, MobaXterm, Dreamweaver, Adobe, Docker, GitHub, etc. I also looked at the Swagger PET store a bit, but I'm not sure what to do with that beyond the conversions and creating a host/client export, which I don't need just yet since my packages already have that.
My product count for this API would be between 100k-600k, and I've been told WordPress probably can't handle that. However, I could redirect to a different local or remote site that is embedded in my main site for now, or create something new. While I have the Microsoft Azure membership, I do not want to rely on it as a host for the main application. It could be used for replication, distribution, version control, licensing, etc.
I have quite a lot of apps to choose from, but also too many. I've seen some apps that let you visualize and map out the calls, but I run about 100+ tabs at a time. I have to check again.
I'm on WordPress/Linux server right now, but I also have an Azure server with LAMP on it as well right now. I can get Server 2025, if needed, but I don't think it's necessary quite yet. I was going to wait to do that through app services/after I figure out what the heck I'm doing.
I would also like to setup some sort of Web3 with possible IPFS instance and version control eventually.
Storyboards would be nice for other concepts, but this is just my first question :)
Thank you,
Tyler
