A- I feel as though the content of the app may dictate how it can be monetized.

A1. Simple and elegant solutions to problems that people can agree are actual problems.
A2. I'm probably in the minority in that I am easily persuadable when it comes to purchasing apps (I have a lot of friends that are very reticent to spend money on apps) but I think if it's something I can work into my day-to-day operations I am likely to throw money at it.
