Is gaming laptops are perfect for programming stuff?

Actually I'm currently using intel i3 7th gen machine, which is lagging a lot on multitasking .I usually do a lot of programming stuff(c,python, java etc).also works on frontend and backend development. Currently I'm facing a huge lagging problem on my system. That's why I am finding a suitable laptop which is enough powerful. But now there are lot of choices available in the market ,which are so confusing. guy's can you show some light, which laptop should I go for?

If you want to do machine learning I suppose that a gaming laptop would be ok. You might be paying a lot more if you don't need the dedicated graphics card though (it will also eat your battery life away).

Everyone has a different workload, so its really hard to say what will work best. I can definitively recommend an SSD though, those webpack builds can take a while.

For multi tasking you want a good CPU and a lot of RAM. When comparing CPU you want a CPU with a large core count and high frequency. Most laptop CPU have lower core count than desktop computer to save on battery usage. 8GB of ram is the average in laptops today. Try and find one that is 16GB or 32GB.
