How to Push All Branches from Command Line

Pushing all branches simultaneously streamlines the process of synchronizing your local repository with the remote. It ensures that all your changes and branch updates are reflected in the shared repository, facilitating seamless collaboration among team members. This approach also serves as a safeguard against inadvertently forgetting to push specific branches, reducing the risk of code disparities between local and remote repositories.

GitFlow distinguishes between long-lived branches like master, develop, and feature branches, necessitating regular updates to keep the repository up-to-date with the latest changes across various branches. Pushing all branches simplifies this process, enabling developers to maintain the integrity of the GitFlow workflow effortlessly.

Now, let's dive into the steps to push all branches from the command line:

Step 1: Navigate to Your Local Git Repository
Open your terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory of your local Git repository using the 'cd' command. Ensure you are in the root directory of the repository where the '.git' folder is located.

Step 2: Fetch Latest Changes from Remote Repository
Before pushing your branches, it's essential to fetch any updates from the remote repository to ensure you're working with the latest changes. Execute the following command:

git fetch origin

This command fetches the latest changes from the remote repository named 'origin' without modifying your local branches.

Step 3: Push All Branches to Remote Repository

git branch -r
