I Rebuilt My Personal Site!

I Rebuilt My Site! 😳

In most cases if you asked anyone, "Should I rebuild this site or just improve it?" they would tell you to to improve it. Because if you rebuild, all the work and time you've invested to this point is thrown out with the project. And there's nothing more valuable in this life than your time. I would normally be one of those people. However my first site was lacking. I didn't know about design systems, my CSS is pretty subpar and it's pretty empty in terms of content.
I am proud of it, and I learned a huge amount from it regardless. It's Built with plain React & CSS and deployed to AWS. (If you would like to see how the deployment worked, I wrote an article about that here.)

But it had a lot of room for improvement. The first thing I decided on was a dev.to integration. I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing with everyone here, and felt that putting those posts front and center should be a priority. Secondly I wanted to make my projects more accessible. Most of them are far from impressive, but they tell the story of how I've advanced as a developer. Thirdly, while I'm fairly active on social media, some people aren't. So my last goal was to provide a way for those people to be able to contact me. You can view it here. I feel like I've converted pretty well, but I'd love to hear your guy's thoughts? What could be improved? What do you like? What don't you like? Please let me know in the comments below!!

If your site is dakotalewallen.me/ then you should check if it is accessible :-) I get a ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error in chrome :-)

sigh Thanks for pointing that out.
Edit: Having a DNS issue atm, so I went ahead and inserted a link directly to the page.
