Hey! Welcome to DEV! I also started here with little to no knowledge about development. Learned a lot by reading stuff from senior devs.

Does it function as you create? If so, great job. We can always learn how to put some "make-up" on it later. Thanks

Good luck on your coding journey.

Really like your design on resoume! What's something you've learned from building it so far? Good luck growing it!

Thank you and sorry for the super late response man.
The list of things I have learned is really huge but besides the UI/UX/Coding part I learned a lot about product development, marketing and customer support.

Hello I'm Steve. Carpenter from Cali looking to add coding to my tool box.

"Cali" as in California or as in Cali, Colombia?

I am a niche tech recruiter specialising in web/app developers. I am trying to do recruitment in the right way... i.e. no BS, no false promises, no shady sales techniques, etc. I have a geniune passion for tech and if I'm honest I never cut the mustard to be a developer myself ๐Ÿ˜ช . I felt recruiting developers would be the next best thing as it keeps me closely connected to the community.

I am based in the UK so I'm sure there are plenty of devs that will share horror stories of working with agencies over here. I am working extremely hard to change this perception... one placement at a time.

Please be gentle with me ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Hello All, I'm Kevin from Switzerland. I work as a project manager in business development for an international finance company. Just recently started my programming journey with #python. Currently working on a text-based adventure to teach myself some basic concepts (extremely original - I know).

Planning to expand to JS and html/css at a later stage. Feel that this may be a good set of tools to have. Look forward to the exchange of ideas and knowledge gained.

Hi all,
I'm intermediate java-knowledge person trying to enhance my skills and stay updated.(I've been working on Java7, yet to work on Java 8)
People say that when you do/work on something rather than keeping on learning you will learn more stuffs and remember what you've learnt and that adds to your profile. Having said that I want to implement something and have started to try so.
I've been learning spring, spring boot, JPA, java design patterns, RESTful web services for quite sometime and basics in Angular.
Can you please share an idea to start a project involving these which I've learning so far. And also like mentoring, would be great! Looking forward for such stuffs :) Learning things with fun and being ambitious is cool.

Hello everyone, Iโ€™m Marshal from the ninth company, I like to eat chips and serve in the army of my Russian army for the Soviet Union, in childhood I am very cheerful and now I weigh only 40 kg, I call myself anorexic and other people say that I am very fat in short such pies. dev-to-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/i/...

I came across a posting by Guergana Tzatchkova about my wearable augmented reality computing efforts from my childhood in the 1970s, e.g. S.W.I.M. (Sequential Wave Imprinting Machine), and it was quite heartwarming to see. This looks like a great community to join!

console.log("Hello World");

Hi everyone, I'm trying to limit my news-feeds and other distractions but I don't want to miss out on dev news altogether so, I'm trying out dev.to as a sort of a weekly or monthly digest. Maybe I will also post a few things if I feel people would benefit from that.

Hiya! I'm Sabrina, I'm a software development student going into my 3rd year in the fall. :) I'm here because I feel the need to develop my skills further than what I've learned in my classes. Everything I'm taught in class, I understand well but I still feel like I lack the know-how to build real-life projects. But I find this field to be so FUN that I genuinely look forward to teaching myself new things! Excited to connect with other devs and hopefully learn from you all! :)

Hi Sabrina, I'm Katie, the #welcome tag moderator.
It's great to see more woman who code here on DEV.

HI! I just found dev.to today. I worked for a Fortune 500 conglomerate for over 30 years developing software and was laid off last year. I did all sorts of development - but little web or cloud - so I am having a great time learning LOTs about these things as I search for my next opportunity. At my old job most things were proprietary and open source / sharing was not encouraged until recently. I am looking forward to posting more and lurking less.

Have a great day and stay safe.

Hi, I'm Anvesh. I'm currently learning Python, and want to be able to learn, share and contribute to this community! Seeing other developers on this long road in front of me, and accomplishing meaningful things inspires to get better. Cheers!

Hello everyone! I am Afua - a junior with a major in Computer Science from Ghana! I was listening to the Stack Overflow podcast when I stumbled upon the episode with Jess Lee. As a self-proclaimed community-builder, I am so happy to be here, connect with you all and write better code!
So, I am currently open and actively looking to learn from you all.

Yello! I'm a high school junior interested in cybersecurity, and web dev; I'm taking major steps in understanding these concepts right now from the limited time I have in school. Right now, I'm a teacher assistant in helping kids in my high school getting their foot in the world of computer science; whether it is creating simple android applications, to dipping in on the concepts of basic data science.

I've stumbled upon many of the articles found in DEV and realized how helpful they are to me and the kids I was helping. So, I thought, why not join in the fun and be part of a community!

I hope I can stick around for many zillion years (if that's possible ๐Ÿ˜).

Hi everyone I'm Pawel. I'm new on the road to frontend development. CSS and HTML behind me, now I'm crushing myself on JavaScript. Dev.to looks like great place to learn with nice community. Wish me luck :) Greetings from Poland.

Hitesh here, I am a web developer part community engineer part Evangelist sometimes I don't even know who I am but I am here, what the hell. From a front end background trying to get into backend technologies (Hard Luck). Peace.

Hi everyone, I am Christian and I am a full-time developer located in good old Germany ๐Ÿ˜

My current work focus lies on low-code development, but I am also hungry for new ideas regarding Java (mainly Spring, Spring Boot etc.) and rapid web development with new and newest frameworks (at the moment I am amazed by Next.js and the JAMStack ๐Ÿ˜).

I would love to get in touch with other (web-)developers and read more about how to run the products of our sweat and tears with as low effort as possible, for I am not an ops-guy at all... ๐Ÿ˜œ Other interests: Everything related to ML and data analysis ๐Ÿค–

I hope we will have a good time together and maybe there might start one or another nice idea we can share and develop here โœจ

Hey dev.to ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

Hi DEV Community!

Jon here, I was a full-stack developer working with #AWS, Java and JavaScript-based technologies before I co-founded Tutorials Dojo - an online learning portal the provides tutorials and exam prep materials for AWS and other cloud computing certifications.

Nowadays, I am doing content creation and support for our clients but I set aside time to develop stuff -- my latest project is the Tutorials Dojo portal: portal.tutorialsdojo.com and I'm working on some hybrid mobile apps as of the moment.

I'm also an active contributor to the official AWS documentation. Here are some approved pull-requests that I made lately:

That'll be all about me. Looking forward to be part of this community!

Currently studying full stack web dev- love coding and creating new projects. Decided to change my career and couldn't be happier!
Looking forward to exploring this app more!

Hi Margarita, welcome to our world of coding!
You will find lots of people around to help.

Hi, I'm Kacper, SAP Commerce Cloud Development Consultant. I've got here randomly by finding post in search results in google. I'm learning mainly java and operations stuff and I have to finally learn some front framework.

A first constructive comment: I noticed the "We're happy you're here" animation, the text is spinning clockwise and would be easier to read if it were spinning counter-clockwise. Why? Clockwise spinning makes it "run away" from my reading which is also left to right. So I have to wait a turn to read a bit more, then repeat. Counter-clockwise would make it "run towards" my reading direction.

Hello Everyone,
I am new here, hoping to learn and interact with you all.

Hi Wanessa, feel free to ask questions here on DEV. It's a very friendly community.

Hello people! Just joined dev.to and wanted to say hi to all of you!!!

Hi Dev Community,

I'm a mobile game developer with over 5 years of experience. For all these years I was working as a mobile game developer, team lead, and a project leader to a team of 40 professionals. I was working on hidden objects, find the difference and storytelling games which all had over 30 million downloads, and over 500k daily active users. After 5 years of everyday commitment and passion, I got fired.

Now, I am in the process of becoming indie mobile game developer, and my dream is to create a dream team for a mobile game dev studio. Currently, I'm working on a little 1st person racing and obstacle avoiding game. It's in the open beta in ๐ŸŽฑcountries as ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท(Argentina) ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ(Australia) ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท(Brazil) ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ(Canada) ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ(India) ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ(Mexico) ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ(Philippines) ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ธ(Serbia).

Whey you are bored and want to improve your focus and reflexes, try it:

I'm interested in developing to assist and play my role in the building our world society...
My exposure to SharePoint has allowed me to face my fear of coding...

Hi, Im John.

I am getting into Javascript after years of Python and Bash.

I came to find fun projects to build.
