Totally bailed after my first failed attempt at Basic on my C64 - but finally got round to it in my 30's to make 2D point&click games in Adventure Game Studio. Then I got - or rather, was "gotten" - into webdev. And I did take to it - but for very weird reasons. I'm a CSS and SVG enthusiast, and what I love most is creating 3D shapes with CSS.

My name is Robert Hieger, but everyone calls me Bobby.
I come to development and design perhaps from an atypical background—a family steeped in the performing arts, my late parents both classical concert musicians—my mother a concert pianist and my father a concert violinist.
My siblings and I have all branched out into other areas of the performing arts, my sister and I to theatre and music. I was fortunate enough in the early to mid 90s, to tour eastern and western Europe as an actor and behind-the-scenes person with a well-known theatre company.
Partly out of practical consideration and partly out of genuine interest, I started as an autodidact in computer technology and eventually programming. Later, in 2011, I earned my B.S., graduating Summa cum Laude with a focus in Integrated Web Applications & Design from the CUNY BA for Unique & Disciplinary Studies. After some preparatory continuing ed courses, in 2017, I earned my Master of Science in Integrated Digital Media from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
