I wanted to become like them, and I began to actively study the issue: I read, watched videos on how to open my own business. I was looking for the experience of schoolchildren-businessmen, but did not find anything sensible. As a result, until the age of 16, I actively studied entrepreneurship from all its sides and tried to launch small business projects. I studied a lot of online business seminars and met my future partner at one of these events. I was 17, I went to school and lived in Lublin, he was 22, and lived in Warsawa. We had never met at that time, but both wanted to develop in IT. We began to study the market, considered various ideas, including those for implementation abroad.studying at school, even without a secondary education, to do business? It was something incredible for them, there were no such examples around. But in general they were not opposed. There was a condition: if you want to do business, you can do it, but only so that studies and sports do not suffer. My parents still support me in all endeavors.
Friends and peers reacted strangely. Some laughed. And I think that they are just wasting their time: they play computer games, go to some parties in clubs. And I tried to engage in development and almost did not waste time on useless things.

The reasons that I have not made the jump into software development work; school, finishing my bachelor degree, steady income; hardest all all, because I have a career made in facilities management, and I am not a young man that can jump around from company to company, but I have decided that I should make the decision sooner than later into a tech job. So this is my journey now.

A little background on me. I'm 39 years old and as a young teen I was into building and fixing computers. I worked for my father in his shop. After 9/11/2001, I joined the US Army as an Airborne Infantryman and deployed to Iraq in 2003 and Afghanistion 2005. This took me away from computers and although I tried to get back into it, I was never focused enough. I'm also a 12 year law enforcement officer. Nothing about my last 20 years has helped in the computer realm and I'm interested in learning it again.

To this end, I did a software engineering bootcamp, a complete web development course, and is currently busy with a Python development course. Hello guys, i just came onboard here,
I never knew coding was this addictive.
My dream was to be a mathematician, probably a prof at one of the top leading universities in Nigeria, sipping my cafe on Leche and discovering new calculational patterns and all. It seemed like an appropriate dream given my BSc in Mathematics. I gravitated toward discovering new equations, even started my own maths coaching sessions But I kind of felt odd. I yearned to learn more, needed something I could explore my creativity on, yearned to learn something different.
And that's when it happened; the spark I was missing ignited the instant I clicked play on my first Javascript tutorial video. (I mean seriously, how could it not be great, I felt like a superman after pulling some programming stunts I learned from the video). Since then, I just could not get enough. Front-end web development calls to my passions; it incorporates creativity and problem solving (my two best parts) and I'm allowed to break it to improve the code (in a separate Git branch, of course).
I love applying responsive design principles and watching my web pages shrink into mobile screens and still look amazing(this context connotatively talked about me, coz I am moldable; just like how I transformed from being a mathematician to being a developer, but I still kept my creative flare intact)
My quick to learn skills made it easy for me to adapt to the learning process that made me learn programming languages, responsive design principles, website optimization, problem-solving, domain-driven design, Test-driven design, and Model View Controller (MVC) methods of organizing code. So far I have JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, jQuery, Material UI, jest/superset, Docker, Express, Nodejs, PostgreSQL, and Git/GitHub under my belt. I've started learning DevOps and MongoDB. I'm still enthusiastically grabbing onto any other programming languages, frameworks, or principles I can integrate to further upgrade my skills.
