I am sure it will be very beneficial to get the Associate and Professional Solution Architect degrees, it will give you a deep understanding and knowledge regarding the services and how they can be implemented. After that focus on specialty certs such as AWS Security Specialty Cert.
There are many resources online free or small amount that walk you through the course.
If you are interested we can meet sometime and study together. I am currently working on the Security Specialty cert. We could help each other.

I'm a developer at Codename One. We make a toolkit/library/framework for building cross-platform mobile apps (e.g. iOS, Android, etc...) in Java and Kotlin. A few months back I soured on the mainstream social media platforms (FB and Twitter) and deleted the apps from my phone as they didn't seem to be adding value to my day.
dev.to was recommended to me by colleague, and so far this seems like what I've been looking for for years. I like to read and write about all kinds of things, but software development is the topic of most things I read and write. I enjoy tinkering with retro tech (early 80's to late 90's mostly) such as Apple II, old Macs, and BBSs. I'm also addicted to podcasts and audio books. Particularly ones that give me a window into the lives of other people.

I'm new here and it's interesting, particularly in the comments to articles, to see how the discussion splits between technical issues and the general situation of being some sort of software developer.
I've been an employee at some "Big Tech" companies and particularly enjoyed my time at Nokia. But for myself, I think I've made my biggest contributions working for companies that I had never heard of, often being an early member. Several of these became known for some specialty and were absorbed into some company that you probably would recognize, but still the name of the initial venture remains obscure. Only in one case did the company end up going public and become well known in its industry.
So I'm mostly working on various projects, but I do sometimes get contacted by Big Tech and consider it.

I'm Mixa (I don't even think my family knows me by my real name) and I've been in Software Industry for ... well, I've been earning from it for the last 12+ years or so, whereas I've been coding since I was six (really!).
What's funny to mention about me is that up until maybe 5-6 years ago, I think I literally had 0 interests to ANYTHING except the programming. And I was actually proud of that! And yet, for whatever reason, people always found me as an extreme extrovert and could never grasp a fact that I'm a "computer guy".
Anyway, for the last couple of years, I've been immersing myself in the Software Architecture role, primarily charged with leading a team of engineers who were tasked with a project of moving a 15-year-legacy platform to a "New Architecture". Been playing with that up until now, but I've also picked some cool tools of the trade in the process and I've slowly started moving more towards People Management and a bit less towards the coding itself. And it's been one hell of a journey so far!
Now what brought me here? Well, funny as it seems, I actually knew about dev.to for a looong time, but I tried avoiding getting hooked to it. Well, it was yesterday that a friend of mine mentioned it to me and told me to republish some article here and ... well, here I am, getting myself hooked to the exact thing I tried staying away from :)
