I wish Color Schemer Studio 2 (Mac) still worked. It was not only a great tool for composing color palettes, it was also a perfect companion tool that let me sample colors off of websites and keep them organized while I was working on various things. It just worked and it was always a click away. While a lot of these tools mentioned here best Color Schemer Studio 2, I have yet to find a single tool that even comes close to being always there, easy to use, and broadly useful in all phases of your process.

I've been where you are, that's why I made Paletter. Would be great to hear what you think :)

Max, Paletter is awesome. It is EXACTLY what I've been looking for! I wanted something I could use to stash colors while I was in the gathering ideas phase and then use the same tool to help me choose additional colors to complement my base colors. Everything else does one or the other which was a huge drag to my workflow.

You gotta check out this luminance-based color palette generator: grayscale.design

The idea is that all your colors keep the same color values (aka luminance) so you could theoretically (or actually) design a site in grayscale to get the contrast just right, then swap in any color from your palette using the same value.

It's pretty epic!

You can also take a look on blank html css gradient generator. It does not have a palette selector, but you can generate and customize css gradients, that you can use as backgrounds on different page elements.

Thank you for this list, saved. If I may I would also recommend my tool: palettolithic.com/

You can generate palette based on only one color of your choice and you get the code which you can use for Tailwindcss, Chakra, Bootstrap or plain vanilla CSS variables

Hi, I also have nice addition of mine to this collection. palette.rocks/ it is focused mainly on accessibility (realtime checks of colour blindness and contrasts). Compared to the other generators, it also produce apparent mid colours (based on Josef Albers' work)

Hey, great list! Been using some of these for a while, but most of them are completely new to me - I'll definitely try to use Pigment in the future :))

Hi there! I recently launched an easy to use color palette generator and was wondering if you'd think it would be a good addition to this post: fffuel.co/pppalette/

Thanks so much!
