Le Patch

This first content patch has been very exciting, with the bugs and inconsistencies we saw during launch and all :)

We've enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces on The Cove as well as implementing new and exciting features that we'll all enjoy!

Rebranding

We held a vote for Server logo and our Creators sure showed out! We were super excited to see the submissions! We held a vote on the Discord Server and Bel's Logo won by a significant margin. This being said, we thank everyone for submitting your lovely logos!

Rankups

We've added a fair bit of rankups in the OpenSMP server, 14 in total with the prices ranging from $1,000 to $100,000.

Each of these have different perks and will let other players know that you're the Real Deal!

Rankups are live on the server now and can be used by performing the command /rankup. There will be a confirmation message with the price before you actually rank up!

Please note that at the current point in time, the perks aren't fully fleshed out and are SUBJECT TO CHANGE (any shadowfrax fans?)

Voting

It makes zero sense to make things cost money when ya can't get money, amirite gamers?

We've introduced voting to the server. If you've never voted before, it's like telling the internet our server is great. You visit a website, enter your username, click submit and it gives you rewards ingame!

Have you ever wanted to make 250 bucks 6 times in 10 minutes? Now's your time!

This helps the server immensely by bumping it higher on server lists so more players see our great community!

To vote, just use the command /vote ingame, and click the first button to see all links!

Town Dynmap

This is probably common knowledge at this point, but I figured I'd put it in the Content Patch anyways. If you didn't know, we have a livemap that shows the whole server! To access it in your browser, just navigate to https://map.thecovemc.net/.

We recently added Town support to the dynmap so you can see where towns are and what land they have claimed!

If you feel so inclined, we have also added some donor ranks, Captain and First Mate. The names will change when themes change, but the perks will never be taken away. We will add more perks as time goes on as well :)

Donations are never required, but always appreciated :)

Anticheat

We've added a few preventative measures against cheating in our server!

Conclusion

We're so excited to see the outpouring of support from all of you lovely folks. Sometimes things get messy and it seems like we don't hear you, but we do. Things are evolving and changing, and we can't wait to see what we all do together :)
