Did Germany change words like "Heilberuf" (lit. "healing profession" = medical profession) or "Heiland" (saviour) because "Heil" was used as a greeting by the Nazis?
I have PDUs that have "master" and "slave" sockets, does that make me a racist? Should I tape those words over in case a POC crawls under my desk and gets offended?
Now I'm super liberal but even I get fed up with some of the excesses of what some SJW (don't like the term but here we go) come up with. Especially, as it's been said before, if this is another case of white people hijacking an issue that only POC should be championing, if at all.
Agreed, there is no one authority that could render a definitive "this is what POC think about this" opinion, but if there were, it wouldn't be white people.
It's incredibly patronizing to be offended by proxy. Maybe it turns out Gustave Eiffel was a racist, would Damien be OK with tearing down La Tour Eiffel then? And even if he was, should I as an American make that choice for hin?
