Hello, dev community! Since we’ve just joined, we’d like to tell you a bit about ourselves and our Developer Platform.
We are a company that connects online businesses with their customers. We help create the best customer experiences, based on connection and understanding the other side. Born in 2002, we are now a SaaS business with more than 30k customers from 150 countries. At the moment, we offer four products: LiveChat, a multichannel customer messaging platform; ChatBot, easy to use chatbot platform; HelpDesk, a ticketing system for teams, and KnowledgeBase, a help center for both support agents and customers.
As you can see, we call things what they are. We believe that clarity and honesty create a friendly environment for development and innovation. In a place where people can freely articulate their needs, wishes, and problems, they can be engaged in a way that naturally produces new solutions. This is what we want to provide to our clients and their customers when adapting new communication channels to our solutions. We also want to create this type of environment for ourselves.
That's how the Developer Platform was born.
Businesses differ. And being aware of the fact that every company that uses LiveChat has a different approach to its clients and, given that, uses LiveChat in a slightly different way, we do our best to make our platform as customizable as possible. Besides adding new communication channels, integrations, and features, we also created a place, where demands of our customers can meet a community of tech people with great problem-solving skills, capable of creating and delivering solutions that can be implemented directly into our platform.
Ideas are like people – every new one is a child of two already existing. Running a Developer Platform, we want to sustain an environment, where perspectives can meet, so solutions would arise, and, what's more, be successfully distributed. To make it happen, we support this process in three areas: research, development and distribution by providing relevant toolkits.
How does it work?
We assist developers in every step of creating an app and integrating it with our software. Michał, our Developer Relations Specialist, helps you with the idea by ensuring that there's an actual demand for your solution. Moreover, you have access to App Ideas, which has information based on feature requests from our community and customer support. There's also an option for a Beta Program Launch.
Recently, one of the apps, SnapCall, used it as an opportunity to get rid of the main bugs. The app was released, but it was hidden in the Marketplace for everyone except a group of beta testers. Their feedback was used to eliminate major flaws, and then the app was released officially.
During the development process, developers are given full access to all of our resources, such as API, SDK, documentation, and sample apps. In case of any technical questions, they can contact our developers or ask other developers for advice on our community.
Your freshly created app is going to have a dedicated place in our Marketplace. Don't worry, we’re going to assist you during its launch. We can market it in different ways through the Marketplace with homepage display, staff picks, or contextual ads. It can be included in our newsletter as well. You can also show your app to our Community and find the right audience over there. When it comes to monetization, you don't have to worry. Our system makes it easy for developers because they can easily withdraw their earnings via PayPal.
