I find this interesting as many companies have been taking this approach for years. On the positive, this is validation that companies pioneering composable commerce, like Elastic Path and MedusaJS had the right idea. On the negative, it feels like the large enterprise trying to jump in and steal all attention and market share away from the actual innovators in the space.
I think it's telling that Shopify throws the word composable everywhere, but completely avoids Composable Commerce which was coined by Gartner years ago to define what API-First companies were already doing.
