How to stop taking things "So" personally ?

Well, I am someone who had to deal with it. To be honest, it is difficult than it seems.
But still we need to face it. That's the whole purpose of life, right ?

Haar to kabhi bi nahi maana heina !!!

The following sentences may not be the solution, but it will surely help you to cope up with the situations. Try reading it....

  1. Know that you're not defined by your mistakes or criticism, you're only human.

  2. Acknowledge that your self-worth depends on you, it does not depend on what others say about you.

  3. Realize that other people's rudeness is not about you. When someone is rude, it's likely to be a reflection of their own issues.

  4. Constructively take common comments or criticism. Ask yourself if there's any truth to it and what you can learn.

  5. Ask yourself what else the comment or behavior might mean.
For example : if someone doesn't smile or say Hello, they might be shy

  6. Take into consideration that you can't please everyone in the world.

  7. Take a different perspective and ask yourself how an unbiased outsider would see the situation.

Is there a specific experience that led you to develop these strategies, or was it more of a gradual realization over time? Thanks for sharing these insights!

Thanks for commenting.

It's not just limited to one situation. I realized some of these points over time.
