Your site doesn't look super modern, but I think that's a presentation issue, not a lack of skills. Also, I know you have a lot of info that you want to share (thinking specifically about the "About" page and the dropdowns), but you should be careful about having so much stuff for people to consume.
Many people think that if you give people a choice you can make some content wordy and some concise, but it's not really true. People hate making decisions and that strategy forces people to make a decision.
