The talk impressed me for two reasons:
The guy uses vi for the whole presentation and that works pretty well. Need to play around with the vi more.
I think this talk illustrates pretty well why unix/linux are so powerful to work with as a developer. As the carpenter works with wood, the materials the developer works with are text and files. And the whole os and the linux shells are geared towards working with text/files. This is the reason why every developer should have a look at linux / unix shells even if he works on Windows.
