Looking for a tech job on its own is easy enough, but when you are trying to find a job that offers relocation, it can be challenging. Surprisingly challenging since more and more European tech companies are turning to talent from around the world.
Let's take a look at some of the ways that you can use job search sites to help you find employment with relocation to Europe.
Telegram Channels
Telegram is a powerful messaging app that is very flexible in its uses. One of the things that it is used for is to communicate new job postings, website updates, or news. Several Telegram channels exist specifically for jobs that offer relocation. Here are links to the two most popular:
You can preview each channel without joining them by clicking the link. Once the page loads, click Preview Channel. You will not be required to log in or download anything to view the content.
Tech Job Boards and Niche Websites
AngelList

Glassdoor

Because Glassdoor doesn’t have a filter specifically for relocation, you will find some jobs that don’t offer relocation or are not quite what you are looking for in the search results. However, overall the website does a good job at filtering them out.

Using the keywords tab you can add “relocation” or “visa sponsorship” to your search. Once you have the keywords set up, don’t forget to select the country that you want to look for a job in. Here are a few links to help you get started:

LinkedIn is great because it allows you to set job alerts for positions that you might be interested in. If you want to get alerts about jobs that offer relocation make sure to switch the job alert toggle to on at the top of your search results.
Recruitment Agencies
Tech companies get very busy and they often outsource hiring international talent to recruiting agencies. Going through a recruitment agency can be very beneficial as a job seeker. You will be able to see many jobs from someone who will help you to find the right position for you.
In addition to helping you find the right position, the recruiter is able to fill you in on all of the relevant information on a company. That includes the company’s relocation policy and benefits.
Here are some of the popular international recruiters in Europe:
- Relocateme.eu
- RAVE-cruitment
- Nederlia
- Global {M}

Turning to these sites to find a tech job with relocation in Europe can be a great idea. Because these sites aggregate jobs from around the internet, you can find a huge variety of listings on them.
Take a look at three great options in the job search engine area.

However, overall the website does a pretty good job at filtering them out, especially in countries like Germany and The Netherlands, which are known for being extremely inviting to incoming expats.

Great article and fantastic resources. One thing I noticed this list missing out is directly applying with some of the major tech companies who have multiple developer offices in Europe, have their own recruitment teams and don't always advertise on any of these job sites. They all support relocation from across the world. These include Uber (Amsterdam, Sofia, Vilnius, Denmark. Also, I work here, in Amsterdam), Facebook (London, Dublin & others), Google (Zurich, Dublin, London, Munich & others) , Amazon (Dublin, Berlin, Edinburgh, London, Germany), eBay and a few others.
Navigating the individual career sites can be cumbersome, but those serve as the source of truth for the positions and locations these companies recruit for, in any given time.
Gergely, thanks a lot for your input! Yeah, applying directly through the company website is definitely a great approach, and we mentioned this in the "Career Pages" section of the article. The list of companies who are actively hiring talent from abroad and do provide relocation support is really huge, that's true... we've mentioned just some of them as an example, but we'll gladly include the ones you listed as well.
Great write up!!
As a disclaimer: I'm Portuguese and Landing.jobs is a Portuguese startup itself, hence featuring mostly entries in Portugal, specifically Lisbon and Porto, the two largest cities in the country :)
Thanks, Bruno
@stetsenko_me
Thank you for this guide and for the swissdevjob mention, I found it by accident and shared with my friend who was struggling to find a good job in Switzerland and it bloody worked (junior position for now, though). They have an identical site for Germany and UK (this one started recently I think, only 130~ jobs atm). I hope it might help somebody, cheers.
@andrew , Amazing.. I have rarely come across an article which lists down and explains at length about all the various websites one can use to find a job and migrate to Europe. This is an awesome article, I have bookmarked this link since about 1 month (from the time I have started looking out for Europe job opportunities), and I have already been coming back to check this list of sites, to find which one i can lookup next, in my pursuit of landing a job in Europe. Thanks a lot Andrew, and maybe I'm being greedy here, but if you have similar knowledge on how folks can find jobs for relocating to other tech hotspots like Singapore, Australia, Canada, anywhere else, that would be really very helpful.
Warm :applause: for this article,
Cheers
What about honeypot?
Nice post, thanks. In the future, I want to move to Europe in order to start my life anew. Now I choose a country that is comfortable for me. I am a musician and I have a lot of instruments that need to be moved to a new place of residence. I am already looking for a reliable moving company. I found a good option denvermovinggroup.com/ ,the main thing for me is a guarantee that my things will not be damaged
Wow, this is a great read. This makes me want to travel, work, and find a new surrounding to live with my family.
That's so cool to hear, thanks!
Relocation due to work is quite relevant now for many, I think. When I was offered a job in another country, and, of course, I could not refuse, despite the fact that the move promised to be quite difficult. I decided to use the nyc residential movers services, which help to transport all things and furniture safe and sound, which is important to me. In addition, the services do not cost too much.
This is awesome,thanks man.
Hackernews, who is hiring thread each month with visa or remote jobs specified is another great place to try.
Awesome and in-depth guide, we're building a platform for Canadian companies to hire devs from abroad, would love to be included!
I tried them but got very few interviews and then they send me to testing platform to solve complex problems in 30 minutes !! I never able to pass.
