Sorry, but this is almost as dumb as measuring productivity by lines of code, or the introduction of badges on GitHub. I fail to see what problem it solves. A lot of development time involves simply reading and thinking - how do you intend measuring that?
Why do people feel the need to gamify everything? Development is a creative process that does not lend itself well to measurement.
I find that the nature of being in flow-state makes it hard to be present to things like interruptions and recurring stretches of time when I'm particularly productive. It's also nice to have a smarter way to trigger DnD, or save and reload context between days (especially immediately before a standup meeting).
