Finally, being useful (almost)

I have done my PR for 7tv! Yes! The most serious PR I have. It is awkward when the dev team trusts to put you amongst themselves, but actually you are not really doing anything there for the most part, and just have a role...

But those days are over, since I have done something! Something small, sure, but more than nothing already. I did the style for comments at the emote page. Here's how it looks like with my changes.

Sadly, the new data structure is not ready yet to actually connect it to my front end. I want to follow the project closely for longer, to perhaps see when they add it. Maybe I could connect it myself. (only if I have an example of how first though)

The timing for this project was pretty bad. I have had my worst state during the days when I was supposed to be working on it. I kept feeling that completing this thing wasn't enough, but realistically that's how it works out sometimes. I don't think I was able to do more in my state.

Despite the smallness of my contribution, I have learned a lot of unforseen things. For example, I learned about differences in windows/linux new line characters. How you can configure your VS code formatting. How to even deal with prettier and a little bit with lint. I had to ask the dev for help with those trivial things, which felt terrible, but I'm glad I'm now past those roadblocks. I'm sure I'll see them again, but this time prepared.
