We made the choice because Rails is easy to use and powers a lot of huge document-driven sites like ours.
It’s as fast as it is because cached HTML doesn’t care what language compiled it 😅
There are thousands of sites using Ruby/Rails and works faster than many others created with"fast" languages. Plus don't forget how quickly you can develop an app using RoR and save time and money. This is crucial for startups.
