ServBay 1.10.0 Update: Support Python

ServBay, the professional dev environment management tool, has received another major update!

This time, we've added support for Python, further expanding the developer's toolkit. You won't want to miss this!

Python 3.x and Python 2.x are not fully compatible; there are significant differences in language design and syntax that can prevent code from running. ServBay supports Python 2.7 and Python 3.5 - 3.14, allowing developers to switch between different Python versions with a single click, so you can choose the appropriate environment for different projects.

Let's take a look at the new features in this ServBay update.

New Packages

  • Python (2.7, 3.5 - 3.14) Support: We've added support for Python, allowing users to conveniently develop using the Python language.

User Experience Improvements

  • More Convenient Custom Configuration: The custom configuration feature now supports popping up in a new window and provides code highlighting, making it easier for users to identify errors in the code.

  • One-Click Service Status Control: The service status display icons on the Dashboard now support quick starting and stopping of services, making management more convenient.
  • Easy Identification of Installed Models: Ollama models that have already been installed now display an icon in the list, making it easy to identify the installation status of the models.
  • More Comprehensive Port Conflict Prompts: The warning pop-up for port and service conflict checks has been optimized to more clearly inform users of the program names causing the port conflicts.

Product Improvements

  • Multiple Database Instance Support: Databases like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB now support multiple versions running simultaneously (note: you need to set different listening ports for each version).
  • Support for Changing root Password: MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL now support changing the root password, taking security to the next level.

We recommend downloading the latest version of ServBay to immediately experience the expanded functionality. If you encounter any problems or have any suggestions during use, please feel free to contact us through the following methods.
