Welcome to 24 Days of #JavaScriptmas, a fun-packed advent calendar that gives you the chance to win daily prizes while sharpening your JavaScript skills.
How does #JavaScriptmas work?
Each day from today until December 24th, we'll release a brand-new challenge for you to solve. To join, simply head to the 24 days of #JavaScriptmas page (πlinkπ) and enroll right now. You'll receive a daily email notifying you of the latest challenge, plus the previous day's solution.
The challenges come in the form of interactive screencasts. So you don't have to read a tons of instructions to understand them. Just watch a one-minute screencast and start coding your solution directly inside the scrim.
What can I win? π
Santa will reach into his sack and give out a year of free Scrimba Pro (worth $150) to one lucky winner every single day until December 23rd.
On Christmas Eve, we'll select a winner who gets Scrimba Pro for life plus 1000 USD in cashπ°

What level are the challenges? π
The challenges start off easy and become harder as the month goes on. If you stick at it, you'll be a JavaScript master in time for Christmas!
With 24 days to fill, there will be plenty of topics covered, including Math.floor(), slice(), sort(), every(), split(), push(), Math.pow() and many more.
I'd recommend you to start on Day 1 and see how long you can keep up. This is a great way of challenging yourself.
How do I enter the competition?
Once you've completed your daily challenge, just tweet a link to your solution with the #JavaScriptmas hashtag. That's all there is to it!
We will pick the winners randomly, as we want everyone to have a chance at winning prizes. Plus, we don't want you to compete with other participants. We want you to compete against yourself.
The point with this calendar is to kick-start the year of 2021 with strong JavaScript skills, as that's the best way to future-proof your career.
How do I maximize my chances of winning? π
You maximize your chance of winning by submitting a solution on Twitter every single day. This will give you 23 shots at winning a daily prize (annual Scrimba Pro membership).
This will also maximize your chance of winning the Grand Prize ($1000 and a lifetime Scrimba membership), as every solution you have submitted counts as a "lottery ticket" towards the Grand Prize.
Who has created the challenges?
All the challenges have been created by Dylan Israel. He runs the popular CodingTutorials360 channel over at YouTube, so you might already know Dylan.
But what you probably didn't know is that Dylan takes on a completely different job at the end of each year, as proven by the picture below π
Best of luck, and Merry JavaScriptmas! π π»
