I've been working for a very long time in remote-only positions by now, while mentoring remote-working students.

So many great bits of advice in this post, Samuel! And, I totally agree that mood & well-being are heavily linked to productivity.
When I'm having an off day because I'm upset, tired, or both, I can feel it directly affecting my motivation and ability to do good work. The hardest is when I feel this way and have a day of meetings; this is compounded when I feel behind on other tasks... I can get so stressed about the multitude of things I have to do that it's a struggle to have a productive meeting. I think your advice about listing priorities, doing meditation, & using the Pomodoro technique can all help to control these feelings and alleviate some of the stress that comes during a high-pressure day.
Thanks for sharing. Recently I have tried Pomodoro technique, it's so brilliant and make me feel resilient

Thank you Samuel for sharing this article.
As usual, comments are welcome.
Great summary, really enjoyed reading it. Also reminded myself about pomodoro, need to get back to it.
Guy tried to sell sony headphones but messed about “I will teach you how to live your life (without research proofs)” so much - forgot to put an affiliate link.
I think this is how an ascended productivity guru tells us what all the fuzz about “being productive” - squeeze everything from yourself in every possible way so you forget why you even need to be productive in the first place (oh god just put the link - everyone will understand).
There is no referral link on purpose, that is a feature not a bug. I share my knowledge out of altruism, not out of financial incentives.
I know this is quite rare nowadays when everyone is either obsessed with passive income or becoming the next big influencer.
Also notice how I did not "try to sell" the XM5, i.e the latest more expensive model, because I think it's an inferior product.
You might have missed the last part about not working too much.
Pro tip: Combine two of these directions and get your exercise with your "get outside first thing". Telling yourself you will exercise after work, instead of getting it out of the way before work, means telling yourself a lie AT LEAST 50% of the time. No one wants to exercise after a long and/or crummy day at the office.
I do actually :) I feel a strong urge to exercise after a day at my computer
TTD article when?
Thank you for your enthusiasm! I'm not sure I have enough to say about it that I didn't say already in this article. Maybe I will sum up everything in a short article eventually.
Or don't hesitate if you can think of particular aspects you'd like to see explored.
