“You’re hired”.
Those two words usually mark the beginning of something beautiful. Unfortunately, everything leading up to it can be a nightmare.
For both talent and employers, the hiring process can make medieval torture seem like a Sunday stroll. Not only is the current process mentally exhausting for all parties – it’s also extremely inefficient, time consuming and expensive.
You already know this at a gut-level, but here are some statistics that prove the point.
To hire for one role, the typical company spends about 8% to 12% of a candidate’s salary in recruiting costs and hiring managers spend about 60% of their work week sourcing talent. This is the definition of a waste of time and money.
And for talent? Well, the best talent is passive talent. Those who are currently employed, but unhappy with where they’re at. They make up 70% of the job market, but you’ll rarely find them applying to phantom postings on job sites or clicking the “apply” button on LinkedIn because of the lack of transparency. And so, the best talent goes undiscovered.
The current landscape of job sites, LinkedIn and headhunters are not great solutions. Actually, they all kind of suck.
That’s why we’re fixing a broken system by flipping the hiring process on its head: On the Reworking platform, we empower employers to initiate the hiring process directly with vetted talent.
With a single, fundamental change, everyone wins.
In this world there are no phantom job openings, no payments for enhanced visibility, no percentage fees, no foraging through endless applications, no broken links on outdated job portals and no missed opportunities due to lack of transparency.
Reworking will be completely free to vetted software developers and will cost companies a subscription fee that’s less than the cost of filling one role today.

I get that you are trying to do a bit of marketing here, but tagging this #javascript #python is borderline spamming...
Hi Jing, I appreciate your comment. First post, newbies, it relates to what we are doing.
Have you looked at Listings? This post would likely have better interaction there as that's where people go to find services/jobs. I'm not going to remove the career tag necessarily, but this isn't a discussion post or a post about javascript or python. It's just marketing your platform.
Thanks Kayla I will remove the tags.
How does this differ from other recruitment firms?
Job sites are indeed a nightmare. On the Reworking platform, companies initiate offers to vetted talent based on mutual wants and needs. With this single, fundamental change, everyone wins.
