Do we must implements unit test just to have coverage?

Since I have started my career I saw many tests in many pull requests, code, etc..., most of the time all people only wish have coverage. However, this is not good practice because all the tests that we need to implement in our codes should behave according to business rules to simulate whole cases based on your essence.
