Hi,
my name is Raquel Santos, also known as RS-coding.
I have a bachelor's degree in Visual Design and have worked for many years in the field, but as I took a specialization course in front-end web development in 2016-2017, at the end of 2018 I decided to quit my previous job, moving to Amsterdam-The Netherlands with my boyfriend to find new opportunities and started studying code in my spare time while working at clothing stores to have money to pay the bills.
In 2020 I decided that my free time was not enough to learn, so I gave up working in stores and just dedicate myself to focus and studying fulltime reviewing some things about HTML and CSS I already knew, learning javaScript, and the new frameworks on the market.
I resolved to write my journey as developer by telling you what I have been doing, my struggles, my accomplishments, and things that I find important to help me find the job of my dreams.

Welcome to the dev community Raquel. I have been a SWE, Data Scientist, Networks Engineer, Graphic Designer. But nothing comes close to being as fun as Web Development. I am sure you are gonna have a great time with it. What frameworks are you interested in learning?
At the moment I am learning Vue.jS and later hopefully I would br learning react.js Libray and Node.jS.
I remember when I started learning HTML and CSS. It was after a year I left college after studying the first semester of BSCS for three months. I was also really depressed. Learning HTML and CSS was life changing for me. I hope, you find it the same for you.
Hi Muhammad. how are you?I am developing code a long time ago. Almost 5 years. HTML and CSS is very easy from me. What it is more difficult is JavaScript
What do you find difficult about JavaScript?
Not necessary a particular thing. I find more difficult in a way of need more time to assimilate . Its a programming language which html and css are not. It takes more time and more focus about it.
So, which design software do u use ? Adobe XD or Webflow etc ?
If you use Adobe XD with Anima plugin u can convert your design to React.js/CSS directly.
I dont use any software. i am not UI/UX designer. I am Fronnted Web Developer. I do and create code
I know but your first line says youβre a visual designer and worked many years in it.
Yes but I wasn't UI/Ux like I have said . I used Indesign , Illustrator, Photoshop and done things that aren't related to web.
Yeah anyway what I want to inform you is if you use Adobe XD and Anima plug-in you can convert designs to React.js code.
Watch this video its fucking amazing xD

I Understood at very first time. But it seems you didn't understand yet with my explanation.but will repeat that I am programming from zero and don't do designs but instead program logic. So I don't use AdobeXD or else to convert designs.
Santos? Brazilian?
No . Portuguese living in Amsterdam Netherlands
I'd suggest u start learning jQuery, its very easy
no no I don't like Jquery :) I already studied. I made a specialization in a school and I learned there Html, CSS, JQuery, and the Basis of JavaScript. I am not a beginner and I do prefer JavaScript and its frameworks. Jquery is outdated and less and less companies use it.
Ah ok ok, I thought u find js too difficult so, yeah ur right jQuery is outdated
nope , even its difficult I don't give up when I see something challeging. JavaScript is the best .

Ohh great, thanks for sharing!
