hi #DEVcommunity! i'm revamping my portfolio site and wondering how this 'about me' section sounds. i don't have a traditional software dev trajectory so i'm trying to express my value and experience best i can. i'm open to other feedback about my portfolio as well. i'm working on adding more projects, and per recommendations, i'll be changing up the color theme (was told it's too bold) and removing the blog section until i have more content.

I think you have many nice projects and CSS artworks and they deserve to be on the landing page.😛 If I were you, I would replace some paragraphs with bullet points and save the long text in the blog post.

Anyways, it is a good start. Keep it up! 💪

I took a look at your site and I think you have some good bones here. Here are some potential change you can consider below, I think the biggest thing is what Jason mentioned below and bring some of your portfolio pieces to your homepage.

Homepage
You have a good 'above the fold' layout for your homepage, but I think including your entire bio here is is a bit too much. My recommendation would be boiling down this by to a few sentences, a single paragraph blurb at most. This shouldn't mean getting ride of your content though! You can break that out into a specific about me / bio page.

Additional as Jason mentioned, adding some of your portfolio pieces to your homepage would be the #1 thing i'd recommend. Pick your favorites and including them to your home-screen ensures that all a new user will need to do is scroll to see some of your work, and they won't need to click to a entirely new page.

In terms of placement you could add some of these portfolio pieces below your "stack section" and above your footer.

Just my two cents, let me know if i can be any more help!
Cheers

Thanks for this feedback! Makes sense to cut down on the bio but to separate those details into a different bio page or blog post. I was also considering having some of my work featured on the landing page, so this helps confirm that. Thank you!
