Content & Tooling Team Status Update

Welcome Ramesh!

I would like to take this opportunity to Welcome Ramesh, he will be joining the Content Team and will be focussing on Modules. As time passes he will become more and more visible and most definitely won’t be a stranger. The whole team are thrilled to have Ramesh join us.

Here are a few words from Ramesh himself:

I am Ramesh Sencha, I have 11+ years of experience in Architecting, Designing, Developing & Managing enterprise products. I have worked on large-scale application development and build & deployment in multi-cloud environments. I am CKA certified and highly experienced with DevOps practices & Infrastructure Automation using Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Vault, Rundeck and Jenkins. In my spare time I am a keen bicyclist and I love to play Cricket and Badminton.

The team were off on Monday

We have been spoilt rotten this week with a second Monday off in a row due to the Kings Coronation. I hope that anyone who chose to celebrate had a great time. In Belfast there were quite a few events running across the city to suit everyone!

Puppet 8

This week some of the team continued working on getting the last bits of our Puppet 8 work over the line, I would like to thank the community and for outstanding efforts on helping us with this piece.

puppetlabs-stdlib function deprecations

If you are currently using puppetlabs-stdlib, we have removed quite a few deprecated functions. There is a high likelihood that this may impact your codebase. For more indepth information on the functions impacted check out here.
