Writing Hello World in all top 20 programming languages

Good evening everyone, DISCLAIMER: This can be a very boring post. Anyway, you already clicked on it even after reading the title so it's not on me I guess.

For a little context, It is Saturday and I'm chilling in my bedroom in front of my laptop as usual. From Monday to Friday I just wait for the weekend and then I spend the weekend exactly as I spend my weekdays, sitting in front of the laptop scrolling through twitter or Reddit. So, I saw a tweet, in which a developer wrote about his order of programming language learning (i.e, Going through there stack of programming languages one by one from start to finish).

So, I started remembering my journey of learning to code and how I started with my first programming language, C, 5 years ago. So it was a super random day, I was watching some dog videos on Youtube on my uncle phone and out of nowhere A video popped on "Writing Hello World in C programming language".

And that's my friends was the beginning of this beautiful love story of me writing Hello World in my first programming language to Taking admission in College for my CS major to Learning all kinds of technologies and creating beautiful stuff to Getting an internship at a tech company to working full time as a Software Developer after finishing college.

There is a reason why every tutorial or the first step to learning a new programming language starts with the Hello World program. And that reason is the happiness of running your first program in a programming language that you have no idea about, it gives you motivation and confidence to learn and move forward with the technology.

So this will be fun to write hello world in 20 different programming languages 😍. How many of these languages you've worked on? COMMENT BELOW!

By the way, this list is not mine so please don't give me a hard time in the comment section telling me that HTML is not a programming language(I know!). I'm just doing this for fun :)

If you are still reading maybe you're asking yourself why would someone in their right mind does this? I don't know man why do I do these stupid things. It took me half an hour just to write the code in 20 different languages :(

Well, the point was to start learning something new, to keep your motivation level high. Comment which language you're going to learn Next from this list. I will start learning Scala from Monday.

That's enough stupidity for one day I guess! Stay safe guys and start learning something new, Peace ☮️.

Funny to see the syntax highlighting of your Cobol editor. It's not broken, it just wants you to use the old indentation that stems from punch cards. But as I just learned: modern Cobol compilers don't need it anymore, so your Cobol example might work, though.

Heya! When you say "By the way, this list is not mine so please don't give me a hard time in the comment section telling me that HTML is not a programming language(I know!). I'm just doing this for fun :)" do you mean that you got this list from somebody else? If so, you really should consider crediting the creator of the list in some way. I think you could do that by simply giving them a name drop near the top and providing a reference link for where you saw this. 🙂
