Seems like you're begging the question.
What are they? What makes them inconsistent?
What do you mean by "algorithmic coder"? What about it is not consistent with being a "proficient developer"?
I thought these terms are pretty obvious !
I referred to those who have excellent problem solving skills (DS - algo ) and also have cool projects in their profile , and are active in hackathons as well !
It's not an either-or situation.
Someone who works on many projects will undoubtedly develop their problem solving skills. Someone who works on problem solving will have cool projects as well.
Balancing the two by going "wide" and "deep" in learning is an essential professional meta-skill.
