Is there a meaning to <Link> in Gatsby.js, and is there something analogous for other SSG?

Of course I know that for Nuxt, there is <nuxt-link> and Gridsome <g-link>, but what about Eleventy, Hugo, etc.

I assume it's about Preloading in PRPL, but is SPA architecture needed?

This is especially important when I am trying to create my own SSG with Node.js scripts and parcel build template/**/*.html...

Link allows for internal pages to render only changed content super fast rather than full page refreshes. The Gatsby link also pre fetches all of the resources on hover.

What about hovering past, not clicking. Wouldn't it be bad, especially for low-bandwidth end-users?
